Dual Torch Mig Lathe Project

About the project

This Dual Torch Mig Lathe Project was designed for a water treatment customer who builds small water tanks. The system is designed for the operator to load the pre-tacked tank and capture it with the pneumatic tailstock. Next, the 2 ea. torches will actuate down and complete the circumferential welds on both heads of the tank simultaneously. A SigmaTouch weld sequence control is included to adjust rotational functions as well as weld start/stop. The rebuild included new control panel, pneumatic tailstock package and cosmetic restoration. Lastly, we integrated 2 ea. Miller Invision 352 MPA packages which included 2 ea. power supplies, S-74 MPA wire feed packages and American Weldquip machine torches.
