The Ransome 4×4 torch positioner are designed to speed up the welding process in a number of ways. This torch positioner will hold the welding equipment over a work piece. This allows the weldment to be rotated under the torch by use of a positioner or turning rolls. Furthermore, the welding can take place over a longer period of time. With a torch positioner you only need one start and stop to complete most welds. This reduction in starts and stops minimizes the possibility of weld defects which can sometimes be caused from improper starting and stopping.

In addition, this machine also has a manual spotting travel car which allows the operator to move the welding equipment down the length of a pipe assembly line. This particular Ransome 4×4 torch positioner is equipped with a manual mast rotation for a simple torch positioning solution at an affordable price.
