Product Description

This Ransome 12.5’x14’ manipulator is part of Koike Aronson’s Scarab-I series and is great for straight line or circumferential welding. The weld arc is moved in a steady, precise manner, ensuring weld integrity and consistent deposition at desired rates. Moreover, its 900lb load capacity, 14’ variable speed reach & 12.5’ lift allows for a variety of configurations for medium to large industrial applications. The lift and reach axis are guided with concave wheels and roundways for precision movement.

Additionally, the variable traverse travel car can reach a max speed 100 IPM and includes track keepers at the bottom of the base to prevent derailing, a mount bracket for your convenient placement of the power source and a limit switch to automatically stop and prevent it from moving beyond the designated work area. The mast is manually rotated & wrench-locked for increased precision in positioning. Manipulators, such as this one, reduce stopping and restarting welds, which minimize the possibility of weld defects. In turn, you’ll see an increase in weld quality while shortening operating time. The Scarab series was designed for a long life span as all critical mechanisms are enclosed with welded, lifetime-lubricated gear cases. Pair this manipulator with turning rolls or a positioner for full automation and further avoid operator fatigue.
