The Jetline Tactile Seam Tracking System is an automated welding accessory designed to keep a welding torch precisely aligned with a joint throughout the welding process. It uses a mechanical probe mounted ahead of the torch that physically contacts and “feels” the weld seam; the probe sends real-time feedback to a microprocessor-based controller, which then adjusts motorized slides to maintain the correct torch position both vertically and horizontally relative to the joint. This tactile tracking method simplifies welding operations, improves weld quality by compensating for variations in joint shape or tack placement, and ensures consistent arc performance across repetitive welds.
